President Donald Trump took to Twitter Friday morning to continue with the heightened — and divisive — rhetoric that has been the cause of much discussion as of recent where North Korea is concerned.
In his morning tweet, the president claimed that military options were “locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely”:
Friday's tweet comes on the heels of a similarly charged tweet from the president in which he claimed that North Korea would experience “fire and fury” should their threats continue.
In a press briefing on Thursday, Trump doubled down on his claims, going a step further as to say that perhaps his charged rhetoric “wasn't strong enough” where the socialist country was concerned.
For their part, North Korea recently claimed that they were planning a missile attack aimed for the waters surrounding Guam for some time in mid-August. This announcement came shortly after the president's “fire and fury” tweet, which the country called “a load of nonsense.”
