Even as the media continues to take every chance to forgive and forget Donald Trump's betrayal of everything that America stands for, other institutions step up to do their job for them, including ... the Miss America pageant?
That's right, folks. Miss Texas, Margana Wood, took the stage Sunday night and, in response to a question from magazine executive Jess Cagle, outclassed the entire mainstream media, as well as the sitting president, in a matter of 20 seconds:
CAGLE: Last month, a demonstration of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and the KKK in Charlottesville, Virginia, turned violent and a counterprotester was killed. The president said there was shared blame with “very fine people” on both sides. Were there? Tell me yes or no, and explain.
WOOD: I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious that it was a terrorist attack. And I think that President Donald Trump should have made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and making sure all American feel safe in this country, that is the No. 1 issue right now.
Wood finished the pageant as the fourth runner-up, but she's a winner in all of our hearts.
Trump, you may recall, was the owner of the rival Miss Universe pageant, which he staged in Moscow in 2013.
