Short-lived former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci appears to be gearing up for something big.

First, this coming Monday, September 18, he will be appearing as a special guest co-host alongside Harvey Levin on “TMZ Live,” the syndicated companion show to the main “TMZ” program. It features reporters from the eponymous website discussing the day's stories with viewers. What Scaramucci has to do with any of that is not clear.

Scaramucci announced the guest spot on Wednesday morning by tweeting the press release:

“I'm really grateful to Harvey Levin and the entire TMZ family for this vote of confidence,” he said in the statement. “I'm looking forward to learning a lot and having a great time.”

Levin added, “Anthony Scaramucci will have an even shorter run on TMZ than he did as the White House communications director, but it is going to be awesome.”

Meanwhile, hours earlier, on Wednesday night, Scaramucci tweeted that the world should “get ready” for the arrival of something called “The Scaramucci Post”:

As of this writing, the most recent tweet from the Scaramucci Post is a poll asking followers which social media network will verify its account first:

The implication is that Scaramucci is launching his own news website, a la The Huffington Post, but exactly what form it will take remains to be seen.
