Trump Jr. Shares 'Entire Chain' of Twitter DMs with WikiLeaks Amid Controversy

Following a bombshell report Monday revealing Donald Trump Jr. was in occasional communication with WikiLeaks ahead of the 2016 election, the president's son posted what he said to be the “entire chain of messages” he had with the controversial organization.

“Here is the entire chain of messages with @wikileaks (with my whopping 3 responses) which one of the congressional committees has chosen to selectively leak. How ironic!” Trump Jr. tweeted shortly after The Atlantic broke the news:

According to the screenshots, Trump Jr. replied to WikiLeaks early on in their messaging history when the group warned him of a new “PAC run anti-Trump site” and when he was asked to promote a story about Hillary Clinton saying she'd “drone” WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

However, the messaging, at least over Twitter, appears to have been one-sided since October 2016, according to the screenshots. WikiLeaks did at one point provide Trump Jr. with other channels of communication, including an email address.

The screenshots also show WikiLeaks continuing to offer advice to Trump Jr. and the campaign throughout the election, including asking him to hand over his father's tax returns for the group to leak, which it alleged would “dramatically improve the perception of our impartiality.”
