white house press briefing

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders will host the first press briefing after the Thanksgiving holiday on Monday afternoon. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Given some of President Donald Trump's divisive tweets over the holiday, it would be a safe bet to assume that Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore will be a hot-button issue at Monday's briefing.

This past weekend — and earlier Monday morning — also saw the president amping up the intensity of his ongoing feud with the mainstream media, most notably cable news network CNN.

CNN's Brian Stelter, for his part (and in defense of his network), claimed that Trump was “assaulting the free press” with his comments.
