white house press briefing

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, will hold the daily press briefing Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Monday's briefing saw a bevy of non-policy-related questions in the wake of mounting sexual misconduct allegations being lobbed at various members (or candidates) of the U.S. Congress — and President Donald Trump's marked lack of a definitive response.

In addition to that bit of an ongoing soap opera, there is a mounting feud between now-acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Mick Mulvaney and Leandra English, who is suing Trump, alleging she is the rightful successor to the position, as per the Dodd-Frank Act.

While all of this palace intrigue is swirling, Congressional Republicans continue to work their tax reform legislation with the hopes of having it passed into law by the Christmas holiday.
