David Hogg, who has frequently appeared on the news for his passionate stance on gun control, is a student who survived the devastating Florida shooting that left 17 people dead.

Since the shooting, it has become known that there were many signs that the shooter was going to do something tragic, including several reports to the FBI.

During the shooting, one officer named Scot Peterson reportedly did not enter the building and had even “refused to share any information ... regarding [an] incident that took place with” suspected shooter Nikolas Cruz when approached by a social services agency investigation in 2016.

However, Hogg doesn't blame Peterson, he blames the AR-15 used.

During an interview with MSNBC, Hogg stated that “he, just like every other police officer out there at heart, is a good person.”

He explained, “There are no words to explain why he wouldn't take action to take out this individual, but I think it's a good example of how if he didn't take action and supposedly four others didn't, I mean, who does?”

Hogg then put the blame on the rifle used in the shooting:

“Who wants to go down the barrel of an AR-15, even with a glock? And I know that's what these police officers are supposed to do, but they're people, too.”
