On Monday, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said that President Donald Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize for bringing North and South Korea to the negotiating table to officially end the Korean War and abolish North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

“President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize,” Moon told a meeting of senior secretaries, according to a Korean official briefing the press and as noted by Reuters. “What we need is only peace.”

This development comes as Trump is expected to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un within the next four weeks.

On Sunday, Reuters noted that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Trump would maintain a “pressure campaign” of crippling sanctions on North Korea until its dictator scraps its nuclear ambitions.

Moon isn't the only one who thinks the American president should receive the prestigious award. At a rally in Michigan last Saturday, some attendees chanted “Nobel! Nobel!” The list also includes CNN's Chris Cuomo, who is anything but a fan of the president.
