On Tuesday, President Donald Trump gave remarks at the 37th Annual National Peace Officers' memorial service. Just after addressing attacks on police officers, Trump mentioned that the family of Miosotis Familia, who was shot and killed in his police car in New York City, was in attendance.

He stopped in the middle of his speech, pointed to them in the crowd, and asked them to come up on stage.

Eventually, Familia's mother, who is 90 years old, made her way onto the stage and greeted Trump in a touching moment you won't forget.

They hugged for several seconds, and he kissed her on the forehead.

Then Trump returned the podium to finish delivering his remarks, but he did not let go of her hand.

“To your entire family, it is such an honor to have you up here,” he said. “We weren't going to bring you up, but I looked at you in the audience and I said, 'You have to come up.'”
