Once again, someone defaced President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — this time, allegedly using a pickaxe to crater out the center:

This wasn't the first time someone damaged Trump's star. As IJR previously reported, a man smashed the symbol using a sledgehammer and pickaxe just before the 2016 presidential election:

The star saw other forms of protest as well:

Police Have a Suspect in Custody

The last major attack on Trump's star came as retaliation for Trump's controversial comments during a taping of “Access Hollywood” in 2005, which were released just before the election.

While it's unclear what the motive was for the latest attack, police reportedly had the suspect in custody. According to NBC Los Angeles, witnesses said the suspect used a guitar case to conceal the pickaxe.

Police, according to The Hollywood Reporter, arrived on the scene just after getting a tip around 3:30 a.m. By 6 a.m., the suspect — a 25-year-old male — was in custody after surrendering to police.
