The start of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing got off to a rocky start when many protesters in the audience began shouting and interrupting Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Many protesters had to be dragged out by Capitol Police:

Politico reports over a dozen protesters were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
It wasn't just liberal protesters who interrupted Grassley, it was also Democratic members of the Judiciary Committee calling to adjourn or postpone the hearing:

By my count, in the opening 30 mins and this Democrat tantrum, well over a dozen references to documents, and ZERO references to Judge #Kavanaugh cases, votes or record as a judge for the past 12 years. #SCOTUS

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) further sent a fundraising email during shortly after the hearing began.
“We should all be concerned about what it would mean for our country if Judge Kavanaugh is confirmed to the Supreme Court,” the email reads.
“Judge Kavanaugh has a long record of handing down decisions that are detrimental to everyday Americans,” the email continues. “His record shows he pass the Trump administrations's litmus test of overturning Roe v. Wade; he has shown clear hostility to the Affordable Care Act; and his previous rulings have led to voter disenfranchisement and favored corporations over workers and fighting for better wages and working conditions.”
