Biden’s Approval Rating Hits All Time Low After State of the Union Address

US President Joe Biden speaks about the September jobs report from the South Court Auditorium at the White House in Washington, DC, on October 8, 2021. - President Biden put a gloss on disappointing job creation figures by focusing on a drop in unemployment, which he said marks a "sign that our recovery is moving forward." While the number of new jobs last month was far below expectations, the unemployment rate fell to 4.8 percent -- below five percent for the first time since March 2020, Biden said. President Joe Biden does not appear to be getting a bounce in support after his State of the Union address.

While liberal commentators praised the speech and the president’s performance, it appears it is not doing much to change how voters feel about him.

On Tuesday, Nathaniel Rakich, of the polling analytics site FiveThirtyEight, posted a picture on X of Biden’s approval rating tracker.

It showed Biden’s approval rating hit low of 37.4%, a new low for his entire term so far.

Meanwhile, his disapproval rating sat at 56.5%.

The polling data came hours before Biden and former President Donald Trump locked up the Democrat and Republican presidential nominations, setting up a re-match of the 2020 election.

And it comes after Biden delivered his State of the Union address on Thursday.

He largely did not suffer any embarrassing moments during the speech, and received praise from liberal commentators for his fiery tone.

However, he did suffer one large gaffe when he mispronounced the name of a 22-year-old college student who was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant.

And Biden faced outrage for using the world “illegal” to describe the alleged murderer.
