The Trump administration is looking for ways to entice women to have more children. One answer? Money.

President Donald Trump said he would be receptive to giving bonuses to moms who have just given birth, something called “baby bonuses,” per The New York Times. The payout would be $5,000.

“Sounds like a good idea to me,” Trump said Tuesday.

These “baby bonuses” are just one idea being floated.

Another includes funding to educate women on their menstrual cycles “in part so they can better understand when they are ovulating.”

A third idea is offering 30% of scholarships for the Fulbright program, the government-backed international fellowship, for applicants who are married or have children.

Members of the Trump administration, including Vice President JD Vance and Elon Musk, have been concerned about declining birthrates. However, the administration has not revealed what policies it may employ.

“I just think this administration is inherently pronatalist,” said activist Simone Collins, referring to alleged need to reverse declining birthrates.

Collins and husband, Malcolm Collins, have sent the White House draft executive orders, including one that would bestow a “National Medal of Motherhood” to mothers with six or more children.

“Look at the number of kids that major leaders in the administration have,” Collins said, adding, “You didn’t hear about kids in the same way under Biden.”

Karoline Leavitt,  White House press secretary, said Trump “is proudly implementing policies to uplift American families.”

“The President wants America to be a country where all children can safely grow up and achieve the American dream,” she said. “As a mother myself, I am proud to work for a president who is taking significant action to leave a better country for the next generation.”
