Actress Amanda Seyfried is not backing down from calling Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk after his Assassination.

Seyfried said Kirk was ā€œhatefulā€ on Instagram and shared a post that said, ā€œYou can’t invite violence to the dinner table and be shocked when it starts eating,ā€ per Fox News.

In an interview with ā€œWho What Wearā€ published Wednesday, Seyfried talked about the backlash she received after commenting about Kirk — and how she won’t apologize.

ā€œI’m not f—ing apologizing for that,ā€ Seyfried said. ā€œI mean, for fā€”ā€˜s sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I’m free to have an opinion, of course.ā€

ā€œThank God for Instagram. I was able to give some clarity, and it was about getting my voice back because I felt like it had been stolen and recontextualized — which is what people do, of course,ā€ she continued.

She also said she has to remember to ā€œkeep head onā€ regarding Politics.

ā€œIt’s always hard to see people who are tricky and harmful have success — like our gorgeous president, the best possible example of that,ā€ Seyfried said. ā€œIt’s so weird to sit in a civilized restaurant. People are serving us food. You can’t unpack it too much, or else you’ll go f—ing insane. Like, how is the world still spinning?ā€

Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet told Fox News Digital, that Seyfried is can say what she wants, but ā€œdeserved whatever backlash she gets.ā€

ā€œAmanda Seyfried obviously knows nothing about who Charlie Kirk actually was. She’s a victim of her own algorithm and echo chamber. But if your reaction to an innocent husband and father being assassinated in cold blood is to pile on and call him ā€˜hateful’ instead of offering condolences, or just remaining silent — I know wild concept — then you are the hateful one,ā€ Kolvert said.

After the backlash, Seyfried wrote in an Instagram post, ā€œWe’re forgetting the nuance of humanity. I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable.ā€

ā€œNo one should have to experience this level of violence,ā€ she wrote. ā€œThis country is grieving too many senseless and violent deaths and shootings. Can we agree on that at least?ā€

In her caption, she added, ā€œI don’t want to add fuel to a fire. I just want to be able to give clarity to something so irresponsibly (but understandably) taken out of context. Spirited discourse- isn’t that what we should be having?ā€
