Holocaust survivor Edward Mosberg slammed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for refusing an invitation to tour a Nazi concentration camp.
As IJR Red reported, groups against anti-Semitism offered Ocasio-Cortez the opportunity to travel to a Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz in response to her comments comparing border detention centers to concentration camps.
However, the lawmaker refused the invitation and also refused to apologize for her comments. Mosberg, the president of the group From The Depths, slammed Ocasio-Cortez for her decision.
“She should be removed from Congress. She’s spreading anti-Semitism, hatred and stupidity,” Mosberg said to The New York Post. “The people on the border aren’t forced to be there — they go there on their own will. If someone doesn’t know the difference, either they’re playing stupid or they just don’t care.”
Mosberg claimed that the difference is that the Jewish people were not willingly in the camp and they were being contained to be murdered.
“Her statement is evil. It hurts a lot of people. At the concentration camp, we were not free,” Mosberg said. “We were forced there by the Germans who executed and murdered people — there’s no way you can compare.”
Ocasio-Cortez tweeted out her defense of her claims by saying that her constituents would support her.
Mr. King, the Republican Party literally stripped you of your Congressional committee assignments because you were too racist even for them.
My Jewish constituents have made clear to me that they proudly stand w/ caged children who are starved, denied sleep & sanitation.

However, Mosberg criticized her for her unwillingness to learn from people with a different perspective.
“If you’re not there, you will never know what happened. She doesn’t want to learn — she’s looking for excuses. I would like to nominate her for the Nobel Prize in stupidity,” he said.
