Cell service providers are grappling with outages throughout the U.S. Thursday morning.
Those affected include AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Verizon and T-Mobile and the outage appears to be nationwide.
A number of Americans are dealing with cellular outages on AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Verizon, T-Mobile and other service providers, according to data from.
ABC reported that data from Downdetector showed āAT&T had more than 73,000 outages around 9:30 a.m. ET, in locations including Houston, Atlanta and Chicago. The outages began at approximately 3:30 a.m. ET. The carrier has more than 240 million subscribers, the countryās largest.ā
āSome of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them. We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored,ā AT&T said in a statement.
There were 13,000 outages reported for Cricket Wireless, 4,000 for Verizon, 1,800 for T-Mobile and 700 for Boost Mobile, ABC reported.
āVerizonās network is operating normally. Some customers experienced issues this morning when calling or texting with customers served by another carrier. We are continuing to monitor the situation,ā Verizon said.
However contrary to Down Detector, T-Mobile said there is no outage on their end.
āOur network is operating normally. Down Detector is likely reflecting challenges our customers were having attempting to connect to users on other networks,ā T-Mobile said.
No reason has been given for the outages, ABC reported.
