New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is usually seen wearing the same steady smile during interviews and public appearances, the kind of expression that suggests everything is going just fine.
Behind the scenes, however, a new report says things may be a little less cheerful.
According to the New York Post, more than a dozen elected officials, consultants, operatives, and other political insiders described Mamdani as “thin-skinned” and unusually sensitive to public criticism. Several sources reportedly spoke anonymously because, well, dealing with an allegedly touchy mayor is apparently easier when your name is not attached to the complaint.
One political consultant put it plainly.
“I see more and more he cannot handle criticism, but mainly from elected officials who he thinks he can push around,” the consultant told
