Nicki Minaj just posted a video where she acts out a fake diary entry. The clip begins with her remark, āDear Diary, well the press is hot for me.ā It sounds like a teen movie, but the target is very serious.
This 59-second clip came right after a tense Senate hearing. Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights more than 100 times during questioning.
The hearing followed the release of his own private notes by Sen. Rand Paul. Those notes detail his meetings and thoughts on the pandemic. Minajās video turns that serious legal moment into a satirical jab at his ego.
The humor turns sharp when she lists the real costs of the pandemic. Stating in the video, āIf anyone asks questions, me and my gang ruins their lives,ā Minaj lands a final blow. She connects this attitude to the harm done to families.
She wrote on X that Fauci caused pain to āYoung children who are still trying to become acclimated into society & schoolsā. She also noted, ātraumatized pregnant women who couldnāt even have family in the delivery rooms & visitsā.
Her post on X included an AI image of Fauci writing like a teenager. She captioned it with a grim prediction: āFeeding tubes will be his portionā. She argued that he must feel the pain he caused to newborns. Minaj wrote, āHe will lose the ability to speak & then & only then will he feel the collective pain & long term ramifications he caused to newbornsā. This follows Rep. Rich McCormickās new bill to bar Fauci from government service.
This isnāt the first time the rapper and the doctor have clashed. Minaj was reacting to a 2021 video by Dinesh DāSouza where Fauci criticized her. In that video, Fauci declared she āshould be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis ā except a one-off anecdoteā.
Now, the tables have turned. She says, āThe trust that is now gone from innocent people toward their governments forever, billions of stolen money from hard-working taxpayers via con artistsā¦ā.
Many Americans feel that trust is indeed broken. Minaj admitted, āIāve been struggling to find the humor in any of thisā. Her post lists āyoung people still struggling w/mental health, suicideā and āpeople turned away from hospitals at their most vulnerable momentsā.
