Another weekend, another riotâsorry, âpeaceful protestââoutside a federal facility. But this time, itâs not just slogans and signs. The Department of Homeland Security just confirmed what many of us already suspected: the anti-ICE crowd in Chicago has officially graduated from drum circles to firearms and explosives.
Yes, really. DHS just released photos of actual guns confiscated from rioters outside the ICE detention facility in Broadview, Illinois. These werenât found across town. They wereâquoteââright against the fence.â You read that right. Armed protesters were standing shoulder-to-fence with federal agents, fully loaded. And now, DHS is investigating what it cautiously refers to as âsome sort of explosive deviceâ found nearby.
But donât expect the legacy media to make a peep about it.
Theyâre too busy spinning their 11th piece this week about âthe rise of right-wing extremismâ to mention that 11 violent leftist rioters were just arrestedâsome literally caught with weaponsâat a federal immigration facility.
This isnât some fringe theory. Itâs not conjecture. These are cold, hard facts released by DHS. They arrested violent offenders. They confiscated guns. They used pepper balls and tear gas to push back what they describe as ârioters.â Not âactivists.â Not âconcerned citizens.â Rioters. Armed. Aggressive. And dangerous.
Over the weekend, the Trump administration ensured that its facilities were safe.
Now hereâs where things get even darker.
This clash came just two days after a gunman stormed an ICE facility in Dallas, opened fire, killed a detainee, and injured two others before turning the gun on himself. Thatâs not some isolated mental health case. Thatâs a direct act of violence against a federal facility in the same week. And yet⌠whereâs the panic? Where are the front-page stories? Whereâs the breathless analysis from CNN panels about âpolitical radicalizationâ and âdomestic terrorâ?
Crickets.
Meanwhile, back in Broadview, a crowd of around 50 protesters had shown up midday Friday to âdemonstrateâ outside the ICE processing center. Two of them were arrested, one of whom wasâagainâcarrying a firearm. Just think about that. A protest against federal immigration enforcement, where people are now showing up armed. This isnât activism. Itâs a coordinated escalation.
And itâs not the first time.
Last week, that same facility saw 16 arrests after what DHS calls âviolent clashes.â Protesters allegedly threw tear gas canisters (yes, they had their own), rocks, bottles, and fireworks. They slashed car tires. They blocked entrances. They assaulted officers. Oh, and they trespassed on private property for good measure. All in the name of âresisting ICE.â
But letâs be honest. This has nothing to do with immigration. This is about chaos. Itâs about undermining law enforcement at every level and making America ungovernableâone âprotestâ at a time.
The kicker? This is happening during Operation Midway Blitzâa large-scale immigration enforcement action focused on Illinois. So the timing? Not a coincidence. Itâs calculated. Theyâre trying to derail a federal operation, and theyâre doing it with tactics that are starting to look a lot less like protest and a lot more like insurgency.
Eventually, the Agents had enough and, with a massive show of force, cleared them out.
Still feel like this is just another headline?
Because if armed mobs can surround a federal building, bring weapons, throw explosives, slash tires, and physically attack agents with barely a whisper from the media or Democratic leadership⌠weâve got a much bigger problem on our hands than anyoneâs willing to admit.
