MSNBCâs Joy Reid insists she does not use âcolorfulâ language after she was caught on a hot mic dropping an f-bomb.
During an appearance on ABCâs âThe Viewâ Reid was asked by co-host Sara Haines about a âhot mic moment that got some attention.â
âLetâs just say, you used some colorful language⌠who doesnât?â Haines continued.
Reid interjected, âNot me, Iâm a Christian.â
When Haines asked if she was criticizing President Joe Biden by allegedly risking starting another war, Reid dodged by she is âan anti-war person.â
âLetâs not do war at all,â she added.
Watch the video below:
Reid was discussing the ongoing fight over border policies in Washington, D.C.
âOver the weekend, President Biden said heâs willing to take action if Congress is serious about solving the border issue,â she said.
The host then played a clip of Biden saying, âIf that bill were the law today, Iâd shut down the border right now and Iâd fix it quickly⌠And Congress needs to get it done.â
While the clip of the president was still on screen, Reid was heard saying, âStarting another f***ing war.â
It was not clear what war she was referring to.
However, the moment came after three U.S. soldiers were killed in Jordan, and over 30 more were injured, after a drone attack on an outpost.
Biden has vowed the U.S. will âhold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner of our choosing.â
While it was unclear what Reid was referring to, her slip did not go unmentioned during her show.
âI was chatting during a clip that was playing and you know, we try to keep this show very PG-13, so I just want to apologize to anyone who was listening to my behind-the-scenes chatter,â Reid said later in the program.
She added, âDeeply, deeply apologize for that.â
