White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has insisted her boss is incredibly healthy and vivacious.
However, questions are swirling about whether she sees a different President Joe Biden in private than what the public gets to see, which have been fueled by Special Counsel Robert Hurās shocking report about him.
During a press conference on Monday, a reporter asked, āIs behaving differently behind closed doors? Because we donāt get to see that at all. And⦠when you interact with him privately, is there kind of a different level of vigor that is perhaps not as visible when we are all seeing him?ā
Jean-Pierre began her response by noting the presidentās recent travel.
āWhen he was in Vegas, he took some questions that you all had and he tends to answer them in a lightweight, a funny way, and heās sharp with his answers,ā she added.

Jean-Pierre also insisted Biden is āsharpā and āengaged.ā
The press secretary has previously tried to defend the president against concerns about his age.
In 2022, she told then-CNN journalist Don Lemon she canāt āeven keep up with.ā
But on Thursday, Special Counsel HurĀ released a reportĀ on his investigation into Bidenās handling of classified documents.
He declined to recommend charges against the president, even though investigators āuncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.ā
Still, the report included several damaging sections. One portion labeled Biden a āa sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.ā
The report alsoĀ claimedĀ Biden ādid not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died.ā
And on Sunday, anĀ ABC News/Ipsos pollĀ found a whopping 86% percent of Americans believe Biden is too old to serve another term.
