Rosie O’Donnell Credits Trump For Her Being ‘Re-famous’

Comedian 👤Rosie O’Donnell is apparently giving credit where credit is due.

In this case, O’Donnell is pointing to President Donald Trump as the cause for her recent re-discovered fame.

O’Donnell told “Good Hang” host Amy Poehler, the White House continues to call her “obsessed” as a reason for her resurgence.

“I feel like recently I’m re-famous. That’s what I feel. I told my kids, well kids, hold on ’cause mommy’s re-famous. I don’t know how it happened. I think it’s Mango Mussolini,” O’Donnell said.

“I think it’s him who did it. He didn’t know. If he knew how much he was helping my career and my life, he would shut up about me because, you know, he’s a horrible creature,” she continued.

O’Donnell and Trump have been adversaties over the years,

She moved to Ireland after Trump son the 2024 election over former Vice President Kamala Harris.

The comedian has appeared on multiple podcasts and shows, and she will be the guest host on Jimmy Kimmel’s show for a week.

The White House pointed to one of Trump’s Truth Social posts from June 6.

The post shows four images of O’Donnell with Trump with a caption that said O’Donnell “is obsessed.”

O’Donnell recently said their animosity towards each other stems from their shared roots.

“There have been so many comedians who have said things about him, but I am from the same area that he’s from,” she told Variety in July.

She and Trump were born and raised in New York. O’Donnell said people occasionally tell her that they sound alike, “which is probably the worst thing that you can say to me.”

“But I think I’m one of those tough girls from elementary school and junior high that said to him, ‘Shut the hell up! You’re not playing with us. Get out of here, you freakin’ idiot!’ And he never got past it,” she said. “I think I trigger him like a PTSD response of all his failures in his life as a kid.”

She added she reminds Trump “of the girls who said, ‘You’re nothing,’ and it scares him.”

O’Donnell made similar comments this week on Sophia Bush’s “Work in Progress” podcast.

Bush said Trump is “obsessed” with her; O’Donnell agreed, stating Trump “grew up with girls like me — tough, probably gay Irish girls who didn’t take s— from no stupid rich boy wannabe.”

O’Donnell was also recently in the news after suggesting she would be returning to ABC’s “📺The View” for a 30th anniversary episode in the upcoming season.

The show’s producer, Brian Teta, posted on X no official invites for the anniversary had gone out, refuting O’Donnell’s words.

“We love seeing all the excitement about 📺The View’s 30th, lots of plans are in the works, but no invites have gone out,” he wrote.
