It appears comedian Rosie O’Donnell jumped the gun when she announced her return to “The View” as a guest in the upcoming season.
O’Donnell announced the news on the latest episode of “The Tangle”podcast.
“I will go on the 30th anniversary next [season] and be on in whatever way they want me,” she said, adding her appearance will be “just as a guest.”
“They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think, for the 30th season,” she added.
However, Brian Teta, the show’s executive producer, not such invitation has been sent.
“We love seeing all the excitement about “The View’s” 30th,” Teta wrote on X. “Lots of plans are in the works, but no invites have gone out.”

O’Donnell co-hosted “The View” from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2014 to 2015. O’Donnell first left the show after an on-air clash with former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
When she returned in 2014, she feuded with her co-hosts, particularly Whoopi Goldberg.
“I wanted to be on her team. I admire her EGOT status. I have respect for her. And I thought we’d be like Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan, passing the ball back and forth, and shooting, and leading the team to victory. But that’s not exactly what happened,” O’Donnell said.
O’Donnell will be guest hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” as Kimmel is on a two-month summer break.
Other celebrities set to fill in, include Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz and Colman Domingo.
