Samantha Busch is sharing a deeply personal look at how her family is coping following the Death of her husband, NASCAR star Kyle Busch, revealing that their 4-year-old daughter has created a touching daily tradition to stay connected with her late father.
According to the New York Post, Kyle Busch died on May 21 at the age of 41 after pneumonia progressed into sepsis, causing what his family described as rapid and overwhelming complications.
On Monday, Samantha posted a photo to her Instagram Story showing her daughter Lennix eating breakfast in front of two framed photos of her father. She explained that the young girl begins each morning by talking to him.
“Morning breakfast with Daddy,” Samantha wrote. “She wakes up every day, tells him how her sleep was, what she’s doing today, and asks if he’s having fun in heaven.”

Samantha and Kyle also share an 11-year-old son, Brexton, as the family continues to navigate life after the devastating loss.
Days earlier, Samantha reflected on the emotional weight of raising two children while grieving the loss of her husband.

In an Instagram post that included photos of Brexton and Lennix, she described the challenge of balancing motherhood with heartbreak.
“I lost the love of my life, my person, and my best friend,” Samantha wrote. “The man I built a life with and the person I thought I would grow old with.”
She said that despite her Grief, parenting remains her daily focus.
“But I’m still Mom,” she wrote. “Grief doesn’t stop parenting. The morning still comes. There are questions to answer, tears to wipe away, races to get to, bedtime stories to read, and two kids trying to make sense of a loss that no child should ever have to face.”
Samantha acknowledged that many people have praised her strength, though she admitted that is not how she feels.
“People keep asking me how I stay so strong,” she wrote. “The truth is, I don’t feel strong most days. I miss Kyle every second of every day. I want to curl up in a ball and cry.”
She added that her children continue to give her purpose during an unimaginably difficult time.
“But I’m a mom,” Samantha wrote. “Brexton and Lennix still need hugs, comfort, laughter, routines, and someone to help carry their hurting hearts while mine is shattered.”
Samantha and Kyle were married on Dec. 21, 2010.
According to previous statements from his family, Richard Childress Racing and NASCAR, Kyle became unresponsive while testing in Chevrolet’s racing simulator in Concord, North Carolina, before being taken to a Charlotte hospital, where he later died.
