Democratic Georgia Gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams received backlash after making a claim about Law Enforcement.
Abrams made the remarks during the Georgia gubernatorial debate on Sunday.
“I don’t have 107 sheriffs who want to be able to take Black people off the streets, who want to be able to go without accountability,” Abrams said.
She added, “I don’t believe every sheriff wants that, but I do know that we need a governor who believes in both defending Law Enforcement but also defending the people of Georgia.”

Several Twitter users blasted Abrams for her claim.
Oner user argued every chance Abrams gets, she “doubles down on her anti-police rhetoric that has cost violence and increased crimes magnified in the communities she claims to represent.”
Another user wondered “what Georgia’s sheriffs thought about this smear.”
