President Donald Trump relies on the Secret Service and the military to keep him safe from harm. Case in point — switching planes after a threat from Iran.

The president spoke with reporters Tuesday night about about the threats he faces,

“I go by Secret Service and the military. They wanted me to go on a different flight, a different plane, equal safety, but they wanted me to do it, so I do it,” Trump said.

“I do what they say. I guess there was a threat out there. I didn’t really ask too much about it. I get a lot of threats,” he added.

According to a recent report in the Washington Post, Trump was seen getting on Air Force One but was swiftlyand secretly transferred via a catering truck to another jet.

“As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats,” White House communications director Steven Cheung told NewsNation  Monday.

The switch occurred when Trump was leaving the NATO summit in July. Military officials received a threat targeting the president. He boarded the older Air Force One plane, that made it look like he was on board with reporters and other White House staff.

The president was actually secretly taken on a catering truck used to stock the plane’s food and supplies to a smaller military plane.

Trump managed to get back on Air Force One and was later seen getting off the plane when it landed in the United Kingdom.

He then boarded the Qatari-gifted Air Force One plane to travel back to the United States.
