Israeli Minister Proclaims Tlaib’s ‘Hatred of Israel Overcomes Her Love for Her Grandmother’

An Israeli government minister blasted freshman firebrand Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) as hating the Jewish state more than loving her own grandmother.

In a tweet published on Friday, Israel’s Minister of the Interior Aryeh Deri fired back at the Michigan Democrat for turning down a visit to her grandmother in the nation after she was granted permission to do so on humanitarian grounds, blasting her as placing her “hatred for Israel” above “her love for her grandmother.”

“I authorized this humanitarian trip, but it turns out that it was a provocation to embarrass Israel,” wrote Deri. “Her hatred for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother.”

As IJR News previously reported, Tlaib — along with fellow “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) — were both barred from entering Israel as they were planning a trip to the West Bank on Thursday.

The two have supported the pro-Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement. Under Israeli law, individuals can be barred for entry into the Jewish state for supporting the movement.

President Donald Trump had urged Israel to prevent the freshmen congresswomen from entering the country, saying in a tweet on Thursday before Omar and Tlaib were banned that it “would show great weakness” for the Jewish state to allow them entry.

After she was banned for entry, Tlaib sent a letter to the Israeli Interior Ministry asking for permission to visit her grandmother, who is in her 90s.

“I will respect any restrictions and will not promote boycotts against Israel during my visit,” wrote the Michigan Democrat.

The Israeli Interior Ministry responded by saying in a statement that it had “decided on Friday to approve the entry of U.S. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for a humanitarian visit to her 90-year-old grandmother.”

However; Tlaib turned down the humanitarian visit saying that she would decline to visit her grandmother because she claims the Israeli government imposed “oppressive conditions” for her visit.

“Silencing me [and] treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me. It would kill a piece of me,” wrote Tlaib. “I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in — fighting against racism, oppression [and] injustice.”

Should have let them in and maybe they would have disappeared. Or Isreal should have arrested them both for plotting against the country and kept them locked up for years. Bet Trump wouldn’t have said a word to isreal about trying to help them be released. He’d have asked for longer prison sentences no matter how long they got. Or call for their execution lol.

General Confusion

I am confused by the 48 heartfelt concerns, so far, about Tlaib’s sense of family. Not.

Tlaib once again shows her true BDS colors. Shameful!

The Mossad solution?

Israeli Minister Is 100% correct. Do these people seriously think we don’t see through them and their antics?

More lies from the Muslim/anti-America hater. Israel gives her permission as long as she doesn’t inspire violence and she calls that oppressive. Anyone that can’t see that she’s a liar is delusional. This nasty and obnoxious woman should be ousted from the Congress as a person that hates America and peace. She’s nothing but a subversive.

William Jackson,

Fugly indeed. You are not wrong and that’s just what comes out of her mouth. I won’t mention the horrid wrapper that contains her putrid ideology.

Jeffrey Moore,

Interesting history, but the current motley crew who make up *ahem* Palestine are Arabs, who, frankly, were losers, undesirables, and squatters from neighboring Jordan, Syria, etc. at the time of the British occupation. In other words, they were the dregs and mutts no other state wanted. (comments on dog-faced Tlaib withheld)

Current genealogy, including a Philistine graveyard, and DNA analysis say the Biblical Philistines were actually from the area of modern-day Greece. Not Arabs nor Muslims.
