Puerto Rico Gov. Announces Investigation That Some Municipalities Aren’t Collecting, Delivering Food and Water

The past couple weeks following Hurricane Maria, which devastated Puerto Rico, have been filled with non-stop drama between San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz and President Trump going back and forth on both TV interviews and their Twitter accounts.

But now, the governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rossello, has announced that an investigation is now underway over reports of supplies not being distributed.

David Begnaud of CBS News reports:

On Monday, Gov. Rossello told CNN that 65-70 percent of the country’s drinking water has been restored and went on to say, “there were some complaints that that water in some places was not getting to the people so I ordered an investigation.”

The San Juan Mayor has made headlines recently as she has begged for help and has even appeared on TV wearing a “help us we are dying” shirt:

The death toll Hurricane Maria left behind in Puerto Rico has now risen to 43.
