On Friday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions will host a press conference alongside Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to address intelligence leaks within the Trump administration.
The press conference will come just one day after two transcripts of President Donald Trump’s phone conversations with foreign leaders were leaked to the press.
Increased prosecution of intelligence leakers is something the president has long called for, both from the attorney general and other officials with his administration:
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!

With the press conference tomorrow — which begins at 11 a.m. EST — it appears that Sessions will be making an announcement regarding future actions he may take as the released statement says the event will cover “leaks of classified material threatening national security.”
As The Hill reported, tomorrow’s announcement won’t be the first time Sessions has spoken out against intelligence leakers in recent days. Sessions told Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, “I have not been happy with the past prosecutions and investigations of criminal leaks.”
“We’re stepping up those cases. It cannot continue,” Sessions continued, “People need to go to jail.”
