President Joe Biden will talk about his decision to drop out of the presidential race Wednesday.

Biden will talk from the Oval Office at 8 p.m. Eastern Time,

Biden has not been seen in the past week after testing positive for COVID-19, per Politico.

On Sunday, Biden announced on X that he was stepping away from seeking a second term as president.

He followed up by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee.

Harris raised $81 million in the first 24 hours after Biden left the race. She set to make her first appearance on the campaign trail Tuesday in Milwaukee.

Biden is the first sitting president not to seek reelection since Lyndon Baines Johnson in 1968.

Johnson made his decision due to the increasing unrest over America’s involvement in Vietnam.
