President Joe Biden is opening up about whether he believes former President Donald Trump should be prevented from appearing on the ballot.
As he was leaving the White House on Tuesday, a reporter asked, āShould Donald Trump be allowed on the ballot?ā
āAs far as Iām concerned, thatās fine,ā Biden responded.
Another reporter asked a question about why it is fine despite the alleged threat to democracy poised by Trump, the president said, āBecause guys like you!ā

Apparently confused as to what that mean, the reporter asked, āWhat am I doing?ā
āIām teasing, man. Iām teasing,ā Biden said, adding, āItās early!ā
The exchange comes after Coloradoās Supreme CourtĀ ruledĀ Trump is ineligible to hold office again, citing the clause of the 14th Amendment that prohibits individuals who engaged in an insurrection after taking an oath to uphold the Constitution from holding office again.
Meanwhile, Maineās State of State Shenna BellowsĀ removedĀ the former president from the ballot for the same reason.
In December, Biden told reporters he believes it is āself-evidentā that Trump is an insurrectionist.
However, he added, āWhether the 14th Amendment applies, weāll let the court make that decision. But, he certainly supported an insurrection, no question about it, none, zero. And, he seems to be doubling down on everything.ā
