Bill Clinton and Trump Square Off in ‘Presidential Spat.’ The Donald Gets the Last Word– And It’s a Doozy.

It appears that Bill Clinton still can’t let go of the cold hard fact that Hillary lost the election to Donald Trump. And of course, Trump himself is unable to let go of anything — whenever he’s been slighted.

Yep, this is the recipe for a perfect “presidential spat.”

Although Trump and Clinton traded barbs throughout the campaign, Clinton re-stoked the flames during an interview with a local newspaper near the Clinton estate in Chappaqua, New York, last week.

The former president told the paper that he “received a phone call from the president-elect the day after the election.” But it was his answer to a question about whether he thinks Trump is “smart” that lit The Donald’s fuse.

“He doesn’t know much. One thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him.”

On can envision Trump nearly pulling a hamstring while racing to his computer to fire up Twitter to respond.

His first point of contention was Clinton’s claim about who called whom after the election:

Clinton later admitted that Trump was right about the call. But Trump’s real barb hit the mark:

Even the left-leaning Huffington Post agreed that Hillary neglected Wisconsin and Michigan, in an articled titled “The Clinton Campaign Was Undone By Its Own Neglect And A Touch Of Arrogance, Staffers Say.”

Clinton also told the paper that “[FBI Director] James Comey cost her the election,” echoing comments Hillary made, four days after the election, that ““our analysis is that Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum.”

While President and Mrs. Obama have not only accepted the results of the election, but also pledged to help President-elect Trump with a smooth transition, it appears that it’s going to take Bill and Hillary a long time to get over it — if at all.
