House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is dismissing the idea of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) as a âseriousâ lawmaker.
NewsNationâs Blake Burman, moderator of âThe Hill,â brought up the Georgia congresswoman with Johnson, saying, âMarjorie Taylor Greene, no fan of yours.â
âBless her heart,â the speaker responded.
Burman asked, âIs she a serious lawmaker?â
âI donât think sheâs proving to be, no,â Johnson answered. âI donât spend a lot of time thinking about her, I gotta do my job.â

The exchange comes as Greene is vowing to force a vote to oust Johnson as speaker after the approved foreign aid packages.
On Wednesday, she vowed to call for a vote to oust him next week, as top House Democrats said they would vote to table the motion.
The Georgia congresswoman said she would âwant to see that happen. I want a recorded vote.â
âI canât wait to see Democrats go out and support a Republican speaker and have to go home to their primaries, and have to run for Congress again having supported a Republican speaker,â she continued before adding with air quotes, âA Christian conservative.â
She added, âI think that will play well, Iâm excited about it.â
