On the heels of President Donald Trump’s threat to send illegal immigrants to Democrats’ sanctuary cities, Obama-era Border Patrol chief Mark Morgan is calling sanctuary cities “part of this crisis” of immigration.
The president is tossing around the idea of transporting immigrants who are in the country illegally to the sanctuary cities in the U.S.
“Due to the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change our very dangerous immigration laws, we are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only,” Trump tweeted Friday.
….The Radical Left always seems to have an Open Borders, Open Arms policy – so this should make them very happy!

If the Radical Left Democrats all of a sudden don’t want the Illegal Migrants in their Sanctuary Cities (no more open arms), why should others be expected to take them into their communities? Go home and come into our Country legally and through a system of Merit!

Appearing on “Fox & Friends” on Saturday, Morgan said that while Trump battles with Congress on securing and addressing the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, he’s sending a “clear message” on illegal immigration:
“Sanctuary cities are part of this crisis. They are signaling and telling the immigrants, ‘Come here illegally, exploit our laws and our generosity. Not only will we take you in, we will protect you, we’ll reward you, and we will thwart the law enforcement from trying to do their job.'”

At the White House, the president mocked California for allegedly “always saying, ‘Oh, we want more people,’ and they want more people in their sanctuary cities.”
“Well, we’ll give them more people,” he said. “We can give them a lot. We can give them an unlimited supply, and let’s see if they’re so happy.”

Top Democratic lawmaker and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters at a House Democrats three-day retreat on Friday that the president’s remarks on sending illegal immigrants to the sanctuary cities show Trump’s “unworthy of the presidency of the United States”
“It’s just another notion that is unworthy of the presidency of the United States and disrespectful of the challenges that we face, as a country, as a people, to address who we are — a nation of immigrants,” she said.
This comes at a time when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facilities are becoming overwhelmed, resulting in law enforcement releasing over 100,000 immigrants into the U.S. while immigrants wait for their asylum hearings, as IJR Red previously reported.

The states that are considered sanctuary due to their laws to “obstruct immigration enforcement and shield criminals” from ICE include California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, and Vermont, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.
Since 2013, Pelosi represents California’s 12th Congressional District within the city of San Fransisco, which is a sanctuary city.
