Hollywood celebrities pushed for Democrat candidates by both endorsements and tossing big chunks of change into the party funds — however, some of the money just went done the drain.

The 2018 midterm elections resulted in the Democrat Party regaining control of the House of Representatives and the Republican Party keeping control of the Senate.

Celebrities were adamant in urging people to vote, but now with the results in, these celebrities failed to meet the mark with their candidates:

Actors Streep and Black forked over $10,000 in an effort to benefit Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), while Douglas donated $5,000.

McCaskill fell behind in her goal for re-election, losing by six percent to attorney general Josh Hawley in the Missouri Senate race.

Singer-songwriter Swift vocalized, for the first time to her millions of followers, that she was endorsing Democrat candidate Phil Bredesen in the Tennessee Senate race.

Swift previously told her 112.8 million followers that Bredesen is “reasonable” and “trustworthy,” and she called his opponent “fear-based extremism.”

However, the “Taylor Swift effect” didn’t quite work as Republican Marsha Blackburn took the win with a 10.8 percent lead ahead of Bredesen.

While Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) was running in the Texas Senate race, many different celebrities donated in an effort to unseat the Republican incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

Each donation to O’Rourke from celebrities include:

  • Kimmel — $2,700
  • O’Donnell — $2,700
  • Handler — $2,500
  • Rock — $1,000
  • Connie Britton — $5,400
  • Tate Donovan — $5,400
  • Rian Johnson — $5,400
  • Ilana Glazer — $2,000
  • Ike Barinholtz — $1,500
  • David Koepp — $5,400
  • Nicholas Kazan — $5,400

Singer-songwriter Beyoncé made a last-minute endorsement for the Democrat Texas candidate.

“I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice,” Beyoncé wrote in an Instagram post, along with a photo sporting a “BETO FOR SENATE” hat.

“We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right. We need you.”

Cruz beat O’Rourke in the Texas Senate race with a narrow 2.8 percent lead.

Oprah Winfrey

Winfrey endorsed Democrat candidate Stacey Abrams as she was running for governor of Georgia.

The former talk show host fought for Abrams by giving a campaign speech and knocking door-to-door.

“I paid to come here myself, and I approved this message,” Winfrey said during her speech.

As ballots were still being counted and her race was tight, Abrams refused to concede when she said, “There are votes left to count, but we have a very strong lead … The math is on our side to win this election.”

In the Georgia Governor race, Republican candidate Brian Kemp takes 50.3 percent of the votes, compared to 48.7 percent of the votes for Abrams, with 100 percent of the precincts reported — however, Abrams has not conceded and Kemp has not yet announced victory.

Suggestion to the Hollywood poseurs.

Sponsor a family of illegals. You have compounds and estates. Just like the Pope.

Pay for the health insurance of those without.

Move somewhere with socialized medicine and live under it. No private insurance cheating.

Pay off the tuition debt of grievance-studies students and others who chose unemployable degrees.

Pay for the pre-/post-op treatment of transgenders.

You pretend for livings. Now start being real.

The sad thing is that the amounts are comparatively nothing to the Hollywood elite. Consider that the next time you watch a movie, video, show, etc. which features them. Same goes for athletes and other entertainers.
