Footage taken by the Daily Caller News Foundation showed a full stadium at Sunday’s memorial service for Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, necessitating the use of an arena for overflow.

State Farm Stadium, where the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals play their home games, filled up rapidly. Organizers of the memorial service for Kirk, who was assassinated Sept. 10 during a “Prove Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University, used the Desert Diamond Arena to house attendees who couldn’t fit in the stadium that can hold up to 73,000 people.

Thousands of people had lined up by 6:00 a.m. Pacific time, according to video shot by the DCNF. The stadium was packed with attendees almost an hour and a half before the service was set to start.

“Chatted with someone in the media pool familiar with the area who said it already feels more packed than the Super Bowl. Still thousands outside waiting to get in,” DCNF reporter Hailey Gomez reported on Sunday.
