As Americans start making their Christmas shopping lists, they might want to consider the fact that these popular brands directly funded an organization that aborts more than 300,000 unborn children every year.

The group 2ndVote, which tracks corporate activism, reported more than 25 percent of the group’s revenue has come from private donations which included corporate contributions. In its latest annual report, the nation’s largest abortion provider said it received more than $1.4 billion in total revenue. Private contribution and bequests made up $523.7 million of that total.

Here are some of the major household names that have directly supported Planned Parenthood, according to 2ndVote:

  • Adobe
  • American Express
  • Bank of America
  • Ben & Jerry’s
  • Bath & Body Works
  • Clorox
  • Converse
  • Dockers
  • Energizer
  • Expedia
  • Frito Lay
  • Groupon
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • Kraft Heinz
  • Levi Strauss
  • March of Dimes
  • Microsoft
  • Nike
  • PayPal
  • PepsiCo
  • Pfizer
  • Starbucks
  • United Airlines
  • Verizon

Readers can go here to view the full list of direct contributors as well others that have funded third-party groups that help Planned Parenthood.

2ndVote also created a Christmas Gift Guide outlining top-rated gifts from companies they gave neutral or more conservative ratings. Some of the top brands included Patriot Mobile, Bass Pro Shops, Ace Hardware, and Overstock.com.

I would bet that Phoenix is a troll paid by Planned Parenthood. Meaning. Ignore anything it says. It’s all just propaganda bought and paid for.

Planned parenthood is in the business of killing unborn babies.Oh yes you can get an ultrasound. But PP will not allow the mother to view the ultrasound. Why? Because mother might just change her mind?

Phoenix

Where are you getting that they do not allow you to see an ultrasound as they perform it even when asked?

Abortion is the source of over 90% of Planned Parenthood’s revenue. The services you mentioned are widely available through government-provided women’s medical centers. The help a vulnerable woman needs can be obtained from crisis pregnancy care centers.

Source on that 90% of revenue stat?

Also, crisis pregnandy centers are usually religious based and not supportive to the point of trickery when a women says she wants an abortion.

I’m not saying there isn’t a place for Crisis Pregnancy Centets – but it should most certainly not be the only option available to people.

The corporations and the 1% spend millions funding “think tanks” to come up with the stuff that will persuade the uninformed to support tax cuts for them.—Well documented, but Jane Mayer’s, “Dark Money” is one example worth reading.

I’ll read the source if they got it at least. I’d rather argue the data behind the opinion than the opinion itself – this at least is quantifiable.

When it comes to an innocent life, there shouldn’t be a choice.

97% of Planned Parenthood’s services are for sex education, family planning, pregnancy prevention/birth control/contraception, pregnancy tests & prenatal care, sexually-transmitted disease screening & treatment, cervical & breast cancer screening & treatment. For many, PP is their only resource, the only place they can get medical care.
Thanks for the list. That’s where I’ll be spending my money.

Re: Abortion – Why would you want to force women to go through a pregnancy that isn’t medically safe or that they don’t want? The beauty of ‘choice’ is that if you don’t want to have an abortion, NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO HAVE ONE. How novel, how democratic, how American is that idea, to decide for yourself when & what kind of family you’re able to raise?

Why would you force an innocent unborn baby to go through an abortion? That always seems to be the factor left out.

Tim, How long has abortion been around? Since 1916 when Planned Parenthood was founded?
Since 1973 when Roe v Wade was decided? Sorry, abortion has been around since 1550 BC. Whether you acknowledge it or not, you are expressing support for the elimination of SAFE abortion–but you are not going to erase abortion. Anyone that attempts to convince that boycotting donors of a woman’s health clinic will eliminate abortion is scamming you—if you are trying to scam others, shame on you.

Why should have to pay for your mistake? So if 97% of their services are sex education then stop performing abortions!

If safe abortion is an issue for you, do what millions of pregnant women do. Don’t have one. If that is not enough, contact PP & inform them the next woman wishing to end a pregnancy comes in, you will adopt & raise the child. and reimburse the mother for any loss of work involving the pregnancy. If everyone opposed to safe abortion follows your lead, your problem is solved. It is a much better plan than boycotting supporters of a woman’s health clinic that provides contraception.

The one-dimensional nature of these lists do not show the corporate entanglements, i.e. subsidies, affiliations, etc.

Personally I already don’t buy/use most of those listed, but not because of politics.

It does make one wonder why, with so much corporate “sponsorship”, why PP continues to need taxpayer subsidies.

*doh* subsidiaries.

It gets worse if one considers investments by mutual or index funds. Money is fungible and cares not who it’s in bed with.

You were right the first time. Subsidies. 😉

LOL…if a patient is treated or examined at PP, like all other providers, they submit a claim to the healthcare provider, public or commercial carrier. Pelvic exams, breast exams, PAP smears, px’s for contraception, orders for lab testing, orders for x-ray exams, etc.. are not provided at the Wal-Mart.
How is that so difficult to understand? Sometimes you have to work at being so dense in order to be led by the nose. Gotta ask yourself WHY?

Phyllis Softa

Someone thinks they are provided at the WalMart? In what aisle are they performing pelvic exams?

Thats a lot of companies to avoid.

Marco Spinelli

Whyever would you avoid them?

More an observation for those so inclined to boycott. This is a tiny list compared to the full list in the link.
