During an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” aired on Sunday, Clinton suggested that the president is “obsessed” with her.
“I believe that he knows he’s an illegitimate president,” Clinton said, adding, “He knows that there were a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out the way it did and I take responsibility for those parts of it that I should.”
Additionally, Clinton claimed that her loss in the 2016 election was “like applying for a job and getting 66 million letters of recommendation” but then “losing to a corrupt, human tornado.”
The failed-Democratic presidential candidate then said that Trump is “obsessed with [her]” and that, she thinks, he has “a guilty conscience in so much as he has a conscience.”
Clinton has blamed her loss in the 2016 presidential election on voter suppression, as IJR previously reported. Voter suppression is a claim that Clinton’s made for her loss in Wisconsin in 2016, which The Washington Post has slapped her with “four Pinocchios” for.

Clinton has been critical of Trump and doesn’t seem upset about the impeachment inquiry House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) formally announced last week, launching an investigation into the president.
As IJR previously reported, Clinton responded to the latest impeachment push during her speech at Georgetown University on September 27. She said Trump “has turned American diplomacy into a cheap extortion racket.”
“Now we know that in the course of his duties as president, he’s endangered us all by putting his personal and political interests ahead of the interests of the Ameican people,” she said.
