In a moment reminiscent of the “Cocaine Mitch” McConnell moniker, CNN NewsNight host Abby Phillip accidentally coined a new nickname for President Donald Trump — one that might actually enhance his image.
According to the Daily Wire, Phillip kicked off a roundtable segment by referencing Trump’s recent move to invoke Section 740 of the Home Rule Act and send federal resources into Washington, D.C., aiming to crack down on what she described as rampant violent crime threatening both residents and visitors.
“Let’s get right to what America is talking about,” Phillips began. “Donald Trump makes himself Batman and the nation’s capital is Gotham City. The President of the United States has declared himself Crime Fighter in Chief, and he’s taking over Washington’s police force. It is a move that the D.C. Mayor is calling ‘unsettling and unprecedented.’”
