Fox Newsâ Laura Ingraham clashed with Democrat Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari on Tuesday evening after asking the lawmaker what âprocessâ is still due to illegal migrant Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia.
After Abrego Garcia was deported to El Salvador in March by the Trump administration, Democrats rallied to bring him back to the U.S., with some traveling to the foreign country to meet him. While appearing on âThe Ingraham Angleâ to discuss her visit, Ingraham pressed Ansari on the trip, asking what would ultimately make her âhappy and feel goodâ about the issue.
âCongresswoman, were you worried when â I know this is the progressive way of dealing with interviews where you just, you know â Iâm not trying to talk over you, Iâm actually trying  to get a question answered. I asked you a simple question,â Ingraham said.
âWhat process is due Mr. Abrego Garcia in the United States that you believe he has not received or could receive if heâs undeported, which is the Democratsâ priority? Undeport him? Bring him back here. What process do you want him to receive that would make you happy and feel good? Could he ever be deported?â Ingraham asked.
Ansari responded to the Fox host by saying the Supreme Court was âclearâ in its ruling for the administration to bring back Abrego Garcia, claiming Ingraham was not âsticking to the facts of the caseâ by refusing to call out how Trump âadmitted he made a mistake.â

âIâve been very clear on the facts,â Ingraham said. âWell, Congresswoman, if you want to come on the show, weâd love to have you back.â
The two then began to talk over each other, leading Ingraham to call out for Ansari to âwaitâ and âtake a breath.â
âIf he comes back, letâs say he is undeported, and the Democrats are happy about that,â Ingraham said. âIf heâs undeported, he will be deported from the United States. That will make you miserable, correct? Thatâll set off a whole new firestorm because what you care about is an illegal immigrantâs rights to be here ad infinitum.â
âThis is a union member, a person with a U.S. citizen, wife. This is a person who the Supreme Court has said needs to be facilitated back to the United States,â Ansari said. âThatâs a fact.â
After Abrego Garciaâs deportation, an Obama-appointed judge ordered the Trump administration to return the illegal migrant, which then triggered the administration to bring the case to the Supreme Court. While the Trump administration in their original filing to the court admitted that Abrego Garcia was deported due to an administrative error, they argued that the illegal migrant should be kept in El Salvador due to his alleged connection to MS-13.
The Supreme Court ruled on April 10 for the administration to âfacilitateâ Abrego Garciaâs ârelease from custody in El Salvadorâ and âensure that his case is handled as it would have beenâ before he was sent to the foreign country.
âWe got it. You will never support the deportation of this individual. That is the truth. Congresswoman, we appreciate it,â Ingraham said.
