Bristol Palin’s husband Dakota Meyer has gotten a lot of attention lately after the couple announced that they got married this summer, more than a year after they initially called off their wedding.
Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient, recently made some headlines after he posted something on his Instagram that many 2nd Amendment supporters are praising.
The 28-year-old Marine shared an image of his smiling seven-month-old daughter Sailor Grace next to him as he put on his new concealed carry holster and gun:

Carrying has always been important to me for my own safety but now it is imperative because now I have someone relaying on me. Every day, everywhere I go, every time I carry and am honors to be using the Blood Stripe holster from @gcodeholsters. #dakotameyer0317 #ccw #fatherhood

Meyer explained that it is essential for him to be carrying all the time now that he has his young daughter to keep safe. While the post is technically an advertisement for a holster company, his follower still praised him for his dedication.
And lots of them left supportive comments on the picture:
“Must always protect our,and,all children…” — ioptsn
“Good job daddy! Me and my husband constantly are conceal carrying! Especially since I’m left with the kids a lot while he is on the slope!” — lisachic427
“It matches the baby carriage!!” — porphyriusgasparec
This isn’t the first time Sailor Grace has been posed next to some lethal weapons. Two weeks ago she looked very happy with her dad while she operated a miniature version of a Gatling gun:
It’s safe to say the Palin-Meyer family are firm supporters of the 2nd Amendment.
