Crenshaw Breaks Down Democrats’ 5-Step Strategy for Failing to Fix the Border Crisis

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) is laying out the steps for what he labels “the congressional Dems’ strategy” in not addressing the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border and is claiming that, instead, they’re pointing fingers at the GOP as “anti-immigrant.”

Law enforcement at the southern border continues to see an increase of illegal immigrants coming into the U.S. — reaching over 100,000 apprehensions in total in each of the past two months each.

“Want to understand why we can’t fix the border crisis?” Crenshaw asked before pointing to five steps as the answer.

According to the congressman, it all begins as Democrats “ridicule regular Americans’ concerns with border security, & conflate illegal immigration with legal immigration,” which leads to “keep[ing] the issue alive and paint[ing] GOP as anti-immigrant.”

“The truth is that this cycle hurts legal immigrants, legal asylum seekers, and regular Americans who believe we should have a say in our sovereignty,” he declared. “It has to stop.”

Crenshaw is vocal about the importance of taking charge to combat illegal immigration and fix asylum laws, previously telling IJR that it all boils down to the idea of “sovereignty.”

“It really is that simple, and if you don’t believe in that ability, then you don’t believe in a country,” he said.

Check out the five steps below:

This week, a congressional Democrat said the deaths of multiple immigrant children at the southern border were “intentional” on the part of border officials and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as IJR Red reported.

During Wednesday’s hearing with acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan, Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-Ill.) said the “evidence” makes it “really clear that this is intentional, it’s a policy choice being made on purpose by this administration and it’s cruel and inhumane.”

Crenshaw responded to the accusation, calling it “another low in civil discourse.”

“Instead of offering solutions to the border crisis, Dems attack the intentions & morals of hardworking CBP agents,” he tweeted, later telling IJR that he stands by the scathing rebuke of the Democrat’s comment.

We need to address who the dems in power are truly working for. Themselves! They are getting money and statements from the One World Order leaders. We know Palose has also gotten millions from El Chapo to keep the drug corridor open. The Order has a goal to destroy sovernty an patriotism, keep citizens fighting one another. (Decide and Conquer). Just look at Europe.

I think Rep Crenshaw hit the nail on the head! My question is, why do the Dems continue to be paid for stonewalling our President & not doing their elected jobs? This has been going on for almost 3 yrs. It’s an Illegal Power Grab by Dems. Why can’t Republicans stick together & control this problem & force the issue? Surely true Republicans & some Dems can assert enough pressure on RINO’s, Dems & DINO’s who want 2b re-elected to get the job done. WTP & whole world know what Dems & Libs are doing to make USA look like… Read more »

For 2 years the demoncrats have have obstructed this President and administration because their wonderful amazing candidates Hillary didn’t win, and they will not accept the outcome, well put on your big boy panties, and accept it and start working with this president because the more you fight against him means that he WILL be re-elected in 2020!!! I see the results of the illegal alien costs in my state being so close to the border here in Tucson, something truly must be done, but I do like President Trumps idea about sending them to the sanctuary cities in California!!… Read more »

Does anyone KNOW what the R’s current proposal on a DACA fix is? Immigration? The Senate bipartisan immigration bill was rejected by Trump before it got a vote. Too pro-immigration for Stephen Miller. WHAT has Rep Crenshaw introduced that was rejected by D’s?

Who said the deaths were “intentional”? I missed that.

I heard Nancy Pelosi talk about the children who have died at the border recently, and that in the prior 10 years, not one child had died in our care. This is rich, in light of the fact that illegal border crossings and apprehensions have more than doubled since then, and the Democrat controlled House refuses to provide any funding. How exactly is this the Administration’s fault?

Beginning to believe that many of the loud mouthed liberals have no soul and nothing is off limits. The accusation of intentional killing children is just another low and certainly an unfounded ploy to keep the hate going. They are a pitiful hateful bunch. Hopefully the voters in their states will remember but it’s doubtful.

King County in Washington should be inundated by illegals. The uppity bastards won’t allow ICE to use their airport, a violation of Federal law, and they don’t care.
No more Federal funds!
