A Democratic Party official resigned from his post and lost his job after joining a mob that targeted two girls accused of posing with federal immigration enforcement agents, the Arizona Republic reported.

Mark Holodnak, formerly the treasurer for the Democratic Party Executive Committee for Legislative District 12 in Arizona, was captured on video shouting at the girls as a mob pursued them, claiming they took photos with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Monday by RedState.com reporter R.C. Maxwell.

After the video of the encounter was posted, it sparked backlash across the internet with calls for Holodnak’s firing, according to the Arizona Republic.

“You little f***ing c***s!” Holodnak screamed at the girls, who walked through the parking lot and closed a gate behind them as they were stalked by the mob. “You little f***ing c***s!”

“And that’s what happens when you support racist motherf*****s,” a young woman said about the incident after the girls had fled.

Maxwell then tried to talk with Holodnak, who fled as Maxwell called out to him.

“Dude, do you think that makes you right to scream at women and call them a c***?” Maxwell asked. “Come back, sir! You were so brave to talk to those women!”

Should Mark Holodnak be held accountable for his actions during the protest?

Homesmart said that Holodnak had been terminated in a statement posted to X multiple times on Tuesday as users asked the company to address Holodnak’s comments. The company did not respond to a request for comment.

“HomeSmart is aware of an incident in which one of our independent contractor agents acted unacceptably,” the statement said. “This is not reflective of HomeSmart’s culture and values. The agent is no longer affiliated with HomeSmart.”

Holodnak also resigned as treasurer of the LD12 Executive Committee, the Arizona Republic reported. The Arizona Democratic Party also didn’t respond to a request for comment

“I regret the manner I expressed myself, and these words do not reflect my values or intentions,” Holodnak told the Arizona Republic. “I would like to offer a sincere apology to the two individuals in the video.

“I do not want my actions to reflect on the good work LD 12 does. So I have formally resigned from the board of LD 12 effective immediately.”

ICE carried out raids on multiple locations of Zipps Sports Grill Monday, as part of what the United States Attorney’s office called “a months-long criminal investigation” into “felony violations of federal law.” Homeland Security Investigations arrested nearly three dozen illegal aliens across 14 locations, saying the investigation touched on “several federal law violations including unlawful employment of aliens, identity theft, and document fraud,” in a statement to Fox 10 Phoenix.

Protesters surrounded the area as HSI executed the search warrants, with Democratic Rep. Yassamin Ansari of Arizona and Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs of Arizona criticizing the Trump administration over the operation, Fox 10 Phoenix reported.

The restaurant did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
