Dem Candidate Was Following Her Opponent and Taking His Flyers ㅡ But Didn’t Know She Was on Camera

A Democratic candidate for state representative in Delaware, Monique Johns, was caught on security cameras removing the flyer of her opponent while door-knocking.

Republican state Rep. Kevin Hensley went around his neighborhood knocking on doors to meet his constituents and ask for votes for his re-election in the upcoming midterms. If no one answered the door, he would just leave a flyer with information about his campaign in the door and head to the next house.

But not every flyer made it to the homeowner.

His opponent was door-knocking, too, but when Johns came across Hensley’s materials, she didn’t just leave them there for the voter to read.

Nice Sunday for our local candidates to make house calls. In the first video is Kevin Hensley dropping by the house…

Constituent Randy Smith captured both candidates coming up to his door on his home security camera.

The first video shows Hensley knocking on the door. When there isn’t an answer, he leaves the flyer at the door.

The next video shows Johns walking up to the door and pushing the doorbell. Before anyone has a chance to open the door, she quickly grabs her opponent’s flyer and tucks it into her other papers. When it becomes clear that no one is home, she places her flyer in the door and walks away.

After the video surfaced, Johns issued an apology on Facebook.

Today, I ask for the forgiveness of the residents of the 9th Representative District. I made a mistake. I removed the literature of my opponent’s campaign from the door of a voter. It was wrong and I should never have done it.

This was a lapse of judgment that I humbly regret. Please forgive me. I won’t make any excuses for this action. I have apologized to my opponent, my supporters, and now I apologize to the voters of the 9th Representative District.

I work hard to live up to the standards I set for myself and I am disappointed that I fell short in this instance. But I intend to move forward in running a positive campaign that’s focused on talking to voters about the real issues facing MOT and Delaware.

Thank you for all your support and may all of the citizens of the 9th Representative District be abundantly blessed.

Voters will choose between Johns and Hensley on November 6 when they join the rest of the nation in participating in the midterm elections.

Should Ms. Mo Johns win, her Oath of Office will be delivered contritely, gravely and solemnly and her constituents will beam with pride. All, once again, will be well in the great democratic state of Delaware. She said, “No offense” and Biden’s boys and girls say, ” None taken.” The power is restored. No harm, no foul.

Damn cameras. Dishonest Dems should be allowed to steal, lie and attack freely, with no repercussions.

Gotta admire those dims for sticking to their mantra, “When they go low, we go LOWER.”

Such low behavior as a candidate does not bode well for her behavior if she’s elected. To paraphrase, people who cheat in little things will not hesitate to cheat on bigger things.
