Dennis Rodman Lauds Trump as ‘Greatest Negotiator’ and Shares an Appropriate Gift He Gave North Korea

Former NBA player Dennis Rodman praised President Donald Trump for his negotiating skills ahead of the historic meeting between the president and North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Rodman announced on Twitter that he would be attending the summit in Singapore to give “whatever support is needed to my friends” referring to both Trump and Kim.

He also shared a photo of himself and Trump and told the entire world that he’s “honored” to call the president a friend.

“He’s one of the best negotiators of all time and I’m looking forward to him adding to his historic success at the Singapore Summit,” Rodman wrote.

The next day, Rodman shared another photo, but this time it was of himself and Physical Culture and Sports Minister Kim Il Guk on Jun. 15, 2017.

He explained that he gave the North Korean official Trump’s book, “Art of the Deal,” while he was in North Korea.

Rodman said he hopes everyone reads it before the summit and reiterated that “we’ve got the greatest negotiator of all time” to “show the world how it’s done.”

Rodman has developed a relationship with Kim over the years, coming to call him “Marshall.”

He’s also repeatedly expressed his support for a meeting between Trump and Kim — even offering to facilitate it or serve as an ambassador of sorts.

“I’ve been trying to tell Donald since day one: ‘Come talk to me, man,'” he told The Guardian in December. ”I’ll tell you what the Marshall wants more than anything.”

Trump landed in Singapore a little after 8:30 p.m. local time for the highly-anticipated meeting with the North Korean leader, which is set to take place on Tuesday.
