So Sanders recently paid $600,000 for a lakefront property and paid a lower tax rate than most of the middle class yet he rails against wealth. I'll figure it up someday but it took me a few years to make what he paid for his lakefront property. The clever comments from Twitter is worth a read regardless of one's opinion about this recent house purchase and his hypocrisy!! I do wonder about his criticism of the President. That too seems hypocritical. Oh well.
Ok Bernie...What have you done in your personal life to help the poor...not under your job duties? Ever drive the elderly to their appointments, become an Ombudsman for an area nursing home, be a volunteer on a ambulance or fire engine in your community for 20 years, be a Sunday School teacher??? My husband and I are an ED doctor and nurse and have done all these things as volunteers. We came from poor families and worked our way to where we a today so I do not feel guilty about my income. We make a comfortable living of 300K (gross), own one house, two children, vacation every two years, and pay a 39 % tax rate since Obama took office!!!! Your 13% tax rate makes me so angry! But back to my point...So tell me what have you done in your personal life to help ?
Anders is a hypocrite. Has he ever in his life worked a real job. The answer is no. He's never had to struggle for money because he's always been paid by taxpayers. He paid about 14% taxes so why isn't he paying his fair share that he's demanding of everybody else to pay ? The men have three homes, lavish homes, he wouldn't know what it is to struggle to pay a bill as most Americans do. What charitable organizations does he ever give to? He's a total socialist who continues to live the high which life which he criticizes everybody else about. If you cared that much about the American people why hasn't he done something for some American people in his entire life time.
Mr. Sanders must be talking about the elitist crowds that he knows and runs with... he certainly isn't talking about the middle class people of this country as we haven't a clue what that kind of "wealth" is. We work to pay bills and try to survive, not buy vacation homes that we visit once or twice a year. I have never "worshipped" wealth... I have never had "wealth" of the kind he is speaking of and never will. Just shows how totally out of touch with the "real world" he really is. He is a hypocrite and so are most of the "wealthy" people in this country... wanting to hoard his money while placing the blame for the poor on the "working class" citizens, expecting them to pay for everything, while they continue to sit idly by doing nothing. Spare me Mr. Sanders.... you haven't got a clue what you are talking about. And it's typical that you chose not to reply to anyone... why is that? Coward perhaps, or just realized how stupid your comment truly was?
Here's a guy who didn't even earn a paycheck until into his 40s, reportedly lived in his VW for much of that time, and finds it impossible to comment on America without slamming either "the 1%" (which he's pretty close to being part of), or "millionaires and billionaires" who aren't "paying their fair share." Three houses and a US Senator's salary pretty much puts him into the top tier of the country...perhaps the top 2% or so, salary-wise? So shut up, Bernie.
He yearns to be a dictator his take on wealth is nothing less than a fifty lb bag of processed sheep shit without money how do you give any away ! He simply doesnt have the savy of a Castro or Chavize his message is way off line the way to take over is by silence and sneakin up on the ppl like the former rock star was doin !
If THIS is not the kind of nation we should be living in, I would invite The Bern to go live in a nation that follows his mantra. I believe true wealth is not measured by what you have, but by what you give. BTW, has anyone informed Bernie of his statistical % rants during the campaign that EVERY nation and economic system has a top 1%, or any other % you can dream up. A totally useless comparison.
Hey Bernie. Minimum wage is 17,000 not 40,000. I know that's just pocket change to someone who sold out to Hilary, but just curious, how much is your integrity going for these days? Anyway. Maybe someone could explain to me why the people who are against us becoming wealthy are wealthy themselves? What are they afraid of?
Bernie Sanders complains about some Americans worshipping wealth to the exclusion of showing concern for the underprivileged. I think he has a point, regardless of whether I agree with all of his proposals. But this does not make him a hypocrite for being affluent.
Sanders has always been a big hypocrite and everyone is right, he has never worked private sector and actually EARNED a paycheck, yet his net worth puts him in that top 1% of Americans. My questions are how did he get away with only paying 13.5% tax rate when his income exceeded $200,000 per yr for many years and the BIG question is why is it that ole Bernie bought a home on a lake front RIGHT after he conceded the primary to Clinton in 2016, is that just coincidence or was it a pay off to step out. I would like that question answered because it sounds like something illegal happened.
