This is so funny. And only because I've been trying for about 3 weeks now to find out what the heck Comcast is doing with our e-mail service - SLOWWWWWWW - and why the constant 'XFinity has stopped responding' only to lose everything I'm working on. Called a half dozen times - got two or three 'ticket numbers' which obviously mean nothing because no response do I ever get from any of them. What are we paying for with Comcast, anyway? E-mail as slow as dial-up used to be? This is insane.
Been there @Patricia. Comcast is without a doubt one of the poorest run companies ever! When I had the service, I literally taped my conversations with customer service because they lied and lied some more. Or would put you on hold and go home! Fortunately I now have another option so don't know if Comcast has improved in my area or not. They were voted the least liked company two years in a row and even then the service didn't get better. I blame politicians for all our troubles because they allowed monopolies. When there is no competition, consumers suffer!
@Coach, I pointed out that I now had another option but didn't explain further so we now have two internet services where I live so I simply switched. If one doesn't live in a community that forbids it, several companies have disk situations. For instance, Verizon's disk is fairly small but has to be placed outside.
I love Trump. But I was really disappointed with the recent repeal. The FCC should be regulating, keeping comcrap and all the other internet Providers in line. This is the one place my fellow conservatives seem confused and misguided on. Don't be fooled by the names of the bills trying to be passed, i.e. 'Internet Freedom Act'. These bills don't give consumers freedom, they give internet providers freedom to do whatever THEY wish without consequence. If you understand, this should scare you.
It also provides freedom for you choices to which company to use.as long as there si no monopoly going on like allowing companies to buy out other companies to avoid competition. This is why we also have anti-trust laws. It is just a matter of enforcement of the laws.
I have used Comcast in the past and will not use them in the future. My repair service was ok but took forever to settle and close my account. Trying to charge me for equipment I returned and every excuse they could invent to delay and after two months they finally closed my account. I paid zero for their excessive charges.
Yep, my friend had it and they tried to bill her a second monthly payment by saying she didn't make that month's payment. Even after she copied the canceled check and mailed it to them as proof that she did indeed pay them, they still didn't remove the additional charge. They are rip-off artists and I won't use them.
I can honestly say Comcast Xfinity is so bad and as far as i can se will never get better. I have filed so many complaints with them over slow service to no service to bad equipment that i just don't complain anymore.You either get the run around and the check this and check that and giving your personal info out over and over you just want to punch someone. I have been told by one person that the problem is this and then by another that the other person is full of it and after each and everytime i hear this i say your Internal Problems are not my concern.What is my concern is paying for the same old service every month and getting the same old run around every month. Sad to say the bad things at Comcast Xfinity out weigh the good.IMHO
With UVerse I'm told a lot TV viewing issues have to do with how far you are from the AT&T hub that in has to do with your distance your area. Customer service is dicey because of language issuses as theirs is in the Philippines. It's just when theres a problem or question, bring a lunch, it'll be awhile.
Where's this guy been? Comcast has ALWAYS been a POS company with which to do business. I would bathe in a vat of acid before I ever do business with these losers agan. I had problems from installation forward. I was charged TWICE for installation on the same bill. (WTH?) Then I was charged for services I never even ordered. And oh God, don't you dare try to dispute something. The only thing that I did miss was their Internet speed. AT&T's Internet sucks "bigly." Sorry for anyone still using their service.
I had Comcast out in Santa Fe, NM in 2006 and it was the most deplorable service I have ever experienced from any cable/net provider I have ever had, from Calif. to NYC, to Florida and on to New Mexico, and this seem's to be nationwide and not limited to NM? I would use an antenna before I would ever subscribe to them again! Ended up getting DirectTV Satelite service and I was SO happy with them! I had been told for years that Satelite was awful and a rain storm would black it out, I never had an issue more than 10 min. and rarely at that!!

Across the board, they HAVE TO BE the most hated company in America. Comcast is huge and they have their slimy tentacles everywhere. And AT&T is no gem for reliable net speed. Have AT&T now; streaming is a true test of patience sometimes. Please God, don't let it be the last seconds in a tied Final Four game already in OT!
I'm an Independent and spend time on both conservative and liberal boards and this is one issue that I absolutely guarantee you would unite everyone! Breaking up this industry is the only way to go.
Stay away from Comcast!!! I've literally spent over 80 hours on the phone with them over the past two years Between billing mistakes, wifi cable not working, etc. I finally turned the problem over to my spouse. I almost filed for divorce when I learned my spouse signed up for another two years with them for a small savings. I agree, I'd take Obama back over having to deal with Comcast.
Oh, and try to stop services with them, you almost have to lie and say you're moving to North Korea to get away from them.

I know exactly how he feels except in HIS position he got a response! I am stuck with them and changing the name to Xfinity did not fool anyone! Comcast is comcast! The very SECOND we CAN purchase Internet from anyone else we WILL. They suck suck suck.
Coach, it's moments like this that I charish. I'm not trying to be an a-hole, but you and I have two completely opposite views of most things, but this is a topic on which we can agree. Breaking up this industry is the only way for consumers to get options, fair pricing and worthwhile customer service.
Now? All the calls you have to make to customer service, being put on hold for insane wait times, disputing fraudulent charges ad nauseum, having to call back and ask why charges that were supposed to be removed were not... I could go on and on, but I know you know. Coach, I truly feel for ya. I hope that you'll soon get another option. I can't imagine being stuck with them.

Well, I probably have a little more insight to Comcast than most. I worked for them for almost 14 years(1990 -2004) . They had great benefits at the time. If you think their customer service sucks, try being an employee. The job was beyond stressful and management is a joke!! The only thing management was good at was passing the buck and lying on employees. They no longer have a call center here. It got so bad while I was there, that I had to go downtown and sit at the franchise managers office at city hall and deal with all the irate customers. And to top it off, I became disabled and I had disability insurance, which I paid monthly for. They refused to pay me. I almost lost my home, car etc. I finally took them to federal court and won!! I also still had their services until November of last year. I was able to get DirectTV for half the cost. Comcast SUCKS!!!!
I remember when Comcast was the only game in town. The first appointment they missed because they claimed my address didn't exist. Told them that was funny because my mortgage and property tax was for that address. The next appointment they showed up on Friday instead of Thursday. (Of course, I was off work on Thursday--not Friday.) I had more snow than actual picture.
Doubtful. Had a round with them this morning over static, sporadic sound and a bill that continues to go up even though I have changed nothing. So now I get a $5 credit for a year but watch out in June for a change whatever that may mean.
They are the only show here unless I go back to Direct tv. Brrrrr.
Take my word for it its not just cable its satillite also. Its ridiculous the amount you pay and the crappy service you get. And if they owe you money you will wait forever if you owe them the harass you until your dead. Should be a cap on all the gouge the public to death
Oh, when a governor speaks Comcast listens. They SUCK... THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! I would NEVER EVER EVER use Comcast!!! I would rather have rabbit ears on my tv and listen to an 80's boom box before I would ever pay them a single dollar! They are shit... and so is their customer service. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would use this crappy ass company!
@larry zorba **** Everyone has a choice, Comcast was my only choice for a while and I chose to buy a window antenna & had basic channels and used my iphone as my internet. And @Willard Lentz ... I feel your pain, I've been there & done that too ;) But I refuse to give me hard earned money to a money grubbing corporation that treat their customers like garbage.
If we could get the politicians to quit worrying about campaign contributions and deregulate the industy we would have options! I had such bad service with Charter I said never again and went to Dish. Their service is better but my internet costs more. In fact Charter was SO BAD they had to change their name to Spectrum to try to get customers!! DEREGULATE THE INDUSTRY!!!
I have Comcast and I detest them. We have no real alternative. Governor Huckabee please convince President Trump to break up the Comcast and fellow crappy communications companies monopolies. They ever kept their word on anything in my dealings with them.
Get em Mike! The cable companies charge you outragious fees and then give you shi**y service to say the least! You wait for ever in that 'window' of time they alot you for an appointment ... if they even show up on the same day.

Problem with all this TECHNO stuff is that we are becoming dependant on it....I never would want that in my life...loved the simple things....they were much easier to fix..and all you had to do with a New tv when you got it was plug it in and WATCH.
Comcast / Xfinity SUCKS. One of the absolute worst companies on the planet! Horrible customer service & billing & payment resolution set ups!!! Just pathetic. They could care less about destroying people's lives & causing heavy stresses on customers for no reason whatsoever. More competition is needed DESPERATELY to rid the public of this pathetic excuse for a company.
I agree. Comcast has better Internet speed (hands down), but that's it. I cut the cord and went to streaming and I'm paying half of what I paid for cable and satellite and trust me, I've tried quite a few (WOW, Comcast, Dish, DirecTV). Now I'm streaming because I wanted a simpler, more cost-effective way to watch TV. But AT&T's speeds are ungodly and it's a true test of patience sometimes.
Oh, Lord, that's what I've always loved about Mike Huckabee; he's not afraid to tell it like it is when necessary. He would have made a fantastic president, but so glad he maintained decorum and grace to support President Trump in the end. My cat got in to the Comcast vehicle when they came to service are cable. First of all they never showed up for the first appt we set up and were now late for this appt. I called Comcast and could only speak to a person in the Philippines! i kept asking to speak to someone in the USA! I asked them to call the service tech and see if he had my cat. After three days of calling Comcast relentlessly they told me they were dismissing my case because my senecio was not believable and refused to call the tech. Long story short, he did have my cat and let him out at a Walmart 15 miles from my home. I searched for my cat almost everyday and found him 57 days later! comcast is a dirty word!
Just waited 2 hours for Triple A....so I cancelled and drove my car without brakes to the place.....yes...I did..I made it...waiting for service you pay in advance for is the most aggravating.....Comcast?? well....I had lousey service up in Vermont..but some people up there dont even have tvs.....better off without it I feel....everything is bad on TV anyway.
I've had similar problems with Comcast, and so has everyone I've talked to. I was given a month grace period to decide whether to keep the service without incurring a penalty. I cancelled within the period, because I had so many issues that were not resolved. Then weeks later, I got a bill charging me over $700 for service that continued as if I were still a subscriber. Trying to rectify the charge was like pulling teeth. There were so many different agents with different views on the issue, it was driving me crazy! Good riddance to Comcast. I'm now with AT&T and DirecTV.
We have had Comcast ever since they came to the Nashville, TN area (many years ago) and I guess I am in the minority of those speaking out, (and I know people are more often to complain when they are unhappy, than praise when service is good,) however we love Comcast, have the triple play: Phone, Cable and high speed internet. No issues. Our son has DirecTV and has problems all the time. I have neighbors who have AT&T internet and phones and UVERSE and hate it. No company is perfect but Comcast is for us. Great prices too!

@@Marthaorlando, IJR is having and has been having issues with the profile pix showing up incorrectly. It will eventually correct itself but when you first post, it'll have someone else's picture by your name, which is extremely annoying. Wait for a few minutes and it will self-correct.
if obama wasnt in bed with comcast and allowed them to gain a monopoly while he was in office their service would be much better! when you own all the internet and cable outlets nation wide there is no one else to turn to and they can do what ever they damn well want as far as customer service. reagan stopped microsoft from gaining a monopoly because we have laws against monopoly's i guess obama thought those laws didnt matter just like immigration laws!
The only consolation I've ever gotten in years of suffering from Comcast's atrocious "service" is learning that it's not just peons like me but nationally known and admired figures like Gov. Huckabee who are fellow sufferers. Reciting all of the infuriating instances of awful technical and customer service from Comcast would take far too long, so just a couple of most outrageous recent examples: (1) they've charged me for months? years? for DVR and telephone service I've never received. (2) after inspecting my system recently they advised that the problem with almost nonexistent cable service delivery was in their connection to my home, not inside my home, and they would have to come back to repair the connection. That was more than three months ago: no followup, no return, no repair. (3) Their current promotion advises that I should go to channel 1995 on my set to order free upgrade box to continue receiving HD channels. Channel 1995 is one of the dozens of channels that I cannot receive an intelligible, usable signal on my sets. The lesson? With no effective competition--usually a locally franchised monopoly for cable service--Comcast has long since concluded that it would be more costly for them to provide the consistent, reliable and accurate service that we are paying for, than it is to ignore us. So they ignore us. Where is the great "trust-busting" President Teddy Roosevelt when we need him!
I don't think Comcast is a poorly run company. I think they are left wing progressives and if they don't think you think the way they do then too bad so sad. They are perfect Service No Service company. I would switch servers and did many years ago when I discovered their updates were buried deep within my CPU and I paid over $100.00 to get those updates removed.
Airlines are offering big bucks to over booked customers who volunteer to take another flight. That tells me we the customers are being over charged. Cancel your contract with Comcast. Taking advantage of customers is just not right.
Comcast's integrity is as much as Wells Fargo Bank. Doing everything to get an extra dollar on faking everything that is says it will do, doesn't and then charge you for it.. Perhaps it is the worst of the Cable companies. MAYBE NOW, legisaltors will decide something positive for the people rather than for LARGE B.S. profting corporations
