seleda there is no way it will be more expensive than the ACA is, especially to people that are paying for everyone else. Those that are not working. Have you not heard how many % the deductibles and the Premiums have risen, and are continuing to rise? And have you not heard that the ACA was written TO FAIL?
Ilse: Not only do I dispute your claim - because it occurs to a very small number of people, much smaller than those who benefit and could easily be fixed - but Trump and the Republican party will now own the wreck they are turning the ACA into. It is guaranteed to hurt them in the midterm election.
@AnoN1, the trolls are out tonight huh LOL??!!
Everyone I know who checked into OCare could not afford the coverage and ended up paying the penalty. BTW even Ebony on her short lived 5:00 pm show said she took the penalty and her salary is way above that of my friends.
I have coverage but had I not and had not bought into the OCare plan, my penalty would have been $700 for the year 2016. So paying $700 a year beats paying $700 a month and some of the quotes were that high.
It may take a while but any attempts to fix OCare will offer some improvement and any trouble spots can be fixed when they surface. Meanwhile, reining in the health insurance companies will go a long way toward fixing the cost problem.
HEY PEOPLE: you are preaching to the choir of those who lost insurance due to Osama OBAMACARE and those who still cannot afford it. THEY HAVE YET TO REVEAL THOSE NUMBERS since this was voted in. My husband lost his state job due to OBAMA CARE (12 years he was with the state) and since 2013, we have NO HEALTHCARE, not old enough for medicare, and just old enough to be discrimminated against due to age (they ask for your license, not DOB, and that has your birth year in it)...so, go find me some insurance and then give me the monies to pay for it without the high deductible which renders the policy useless.
