Don Lemon Quietly Loses His Mind After Trump Rally: He Is ‘Attempting to Rewrite History’

After President Donald Trump’s impassioned Make America Great Again rally in Phoenix, Arizona, CNN anchor Don Lemon was both at a loss for words and not so.

“Well, what do you say to that,” Lemon began immediately after the rally ended. “I’m just going to speak from the heart here.”

From there, Lemon claimed that what the American people had just witnessed was a “total eclipse of the facts.”

Topical puns aside, he continued by saying that Trump “lied directly to the American people” and that he willingly omitted facts “in an attempt to rewrite history, especially when it comes to Charlottesville.”

“He’s unhinged,” Lemon said, calmly and plaintively. He also opined that it was an embarrassing moment, and not for CNN, who the president had gone after at length during the rally. He continued by claiming that Trump was acting “so petty that he has to go after people he deems to be his enemy, like an imaginary friend of a 6-year-old.”

“His speech was without thought, without reason, devoid of facts, devoid of wisdom. There was no gravitas, no sanity,” Lemon said.

From there, Lemon kept on with his monologue, saying that he felt as though Trump’s speech were delivered as though he were “a man backed into a corner […] by circumstances he couldn’t control.”

“This is petty,” he said, before throwing to his panel for the rest of the evening. “A person who’s supposed to pull the country together? Certainly didn’t happen there.”
