Don Lemon Suggests Networks Should Censor Trump’s Immigration Address — Chris Cuomo’s Reaction Is Great

CNN host Don Lemon suggested that President Donald Trump spewed so much “propaganda,” television networks could justifiably censor him during his immigration address on Tuesday night.

Trump reportedly planned to speak to the American people and push for a southern border wall as he faced off with Democrats during a partial government shutdown over that issue.

Between Lemon’s show and host Chris Cuomo’s on Monday night, Lemon indicated to his colleague that networks could include selective delays in airing Trump’s speech:

“Listen, I’m not saying that we should do it, but do you think [there] should be — I don’t know — a delay of some sort […] because people will believe it. The president will say what he has to say. People will believe it whether the facts are true or not. I guess that’s the chance you take with any president, but this one is different. And then by the time the rebuttals come on, we’ve already promoted propaganda possibly.”

When Lemon made that initial suggestion, he seemed to cause concern for Cuomo, who squinted in apparent disbelief.

Watch the segment below:

After Lemon made his case, Cuomo defended Trump’s right to argue in support of the border wall.

“And by the way, wanting barriers along the border is not propaganda. It’s not immoral, it’s not wrong,” Cuomo said.

Lemon agreed but clarified he thought Trump used false information to push the border wall. Cuomo went on to argue that limiting the public’s exposure to Trump was “anathema to American political exchange.”

Don, stick a dick in your mouth, have someone put one up your ass, and have a good time. But leave the important stuff to non-assholes.

LOL the world needs an endless de lay before Lemon remarks see a light of day. Maybe Chris Cuomo wants to retract his statement that America was never that great – as he now appears to have had an epiphany about what is legal, right or wrong, and, most incisively, what exactly is not propaganda. Lemon could offer more were he to jump over to NBC and do the Saturday night bad comedy gig. This is just 2 twinks having an innocuous spat.

Don Lemon needs to go on location in Tijuana for a week, stay on the,Mexican side for a week. He should spend a 2nd week in Neuvo Laredo. He might have a differences point after that.

If you’ve lost Chris Cuomo…..it’s ironic that someone in the media is calling for censorship and of the President. “We don’t need no steenkin’ 1st amendment.”

Why is this “awaiting moderation”?

I’d like IJR to explain, no, spell out its standards and provide some transparency or more users will simply leave.

Cuomo’s squinting was due to flashbacks of him rear ending another car while driving his vintage Firebird intoxicated: Look it up on YouTube ( if Google hasn’t taken it down yet) !!

That zoom in of Cuomo’s face when Lemon suggests a delay… hilarious. Don Lemon needs to take a long vacation from news.

Don Lemon is involved in news? I always thought he was just a media “talking head”.

I’ll amend then to taking a long vacation from television.

I agree. Maybe he should take a long drive cross country and meet some people NOT on either coast.

That was a great look from Cuomo. Good for him for calling Lemon out.

He deserves credit for understanding that political discourse is not aided by censorship.
